i made spaghetti the other night and was cooking ground beef when i accidentally spilled a tonnnnn of lawry's seasoning salt in my skillet (after which i dropped the jar of spaghetti sauce on the floor and it shattered everywhere. you win some, you lose some.) so anyway, i had to add more and more ground beef to balance out the salt and i think i ended up cooking like five pounds of it. it was a lot of spilled salt.
but i guess it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because having a grip of prepared ground beef in the fridge makes for easy dinners and an opportunity to use the crockpot. and i jump at any opportunity to use the crockpot.
crockpot taco soup
4 cans of rotel diced tomatoes with mild chiles (small cans)
1.5lbs. cooked ground beef
2 cans corn (drained)
1 can ranch style beans (drained)
1 can black beans (drained)
1 package taco seasoning
1/2 chopped onion
1 can tomato sauce (15oz.)
1. put all ingredients into crockpot, stir, cover, and cook on high for 4-5 hours.
2. top with shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado, or tortilla chips and enjoy!
