well happy thursday, friends!
ava and i went to target the other day and she just about screamed the entire time and it was really fun. not. usually when we go to target, david is with us, and instead of making her sit in the cart, i let her run around like a bat out of hell and david chases her while i shop. but we were riding solo and i'm trying to not be such a pushover parent, so i really tried to get her to sit in the cart. i was giving her treats and toys and hugs and words of encouragement and she was just trying to climb up my body so she could escape...but i stuck to my guns, because she is fast and would never in a million years hold onto the cart when there are millions of target shelves to destroy. i got a lot of sympathy smiles from older women and it made me feel like even more of a mess. i was "that mom" with the screaming child.
anyway, during said target trip, i picked up a couple fun new makeup thrills to try, including the rimmel scandaleyes pencil in nude (i can't find it on the target website and i only paid $3 for it in the store...so hopefully this doesn't mean it's being discontinued??) and the e.l.f. moisturizing lipstick in pink minx. i am big into both -- winners in my book. the rimmel pencil goes on the waterline and it instantly makes your eyes look brighter without looking too "makeup-y" like a white pencil on the waterline can do. this was my first e.l.f. lipstick purchase and i was pleasantly surprised. i'm always impressed with their quality packaging, considering their price point, and i think the color is super pretty. it is coming off a little darker in these photos than it is in person and it's more of a warm pink rather than a blue-toned pink, like carnation pink. (i think that's a crayola color? anyone...?) it is super pretty with a light pink gloss over it. anyway, it's a whopping $3 and definitely worth a try in my book!
