i used to swear that no lipgloss could ever outshine mac's lipglass. you see, every good ligloss has to have the right consistency. not too thin so it feels watery, but not too thick that it feels gunky. it has to be thick enough to last a couple hours, but thin enough to glide. does that make sense? probably not if you aren't a lipgloss person. but hey, maybe you are!
i had heard good things about nyx butter gloss and i decided to give them a go when i saw them on sale. and i am so glad i did because they have quickly become my new favorite because they have awesome color, consistency and they are all of $5. plus, they are available at target, which is a lot more convenient for me to get to than the mac counter. i think apple strudel might be my favorite, but i am also a big fan of the eclair one and wear them daily.
sidenote: i took these photos after working out and i don't have a stitch of makeup on. my skin has cleared up a lot recently, but it is still not perfect. but i'm learning not to strive for perfection, but for progress. i think that's what it's all about in the end.
