sundays are david's only day off and they typically go a little something like this: wake up and hurriedly get ready for church, show up 5 minutes late no matter how much effort you put into being on time, try to entertain your toddler during sacrament meeting with fruit snacks and sofia the first doll and her favorite book, go out to delicious brunch at a local hotspot, put ava down and commence traditional sunday nap, wake up three hours later, eat dinner, prepare for the upcoming week. i don't know how it happens, but they go by like a speeding bullet and then all of the sudden it's monday again and i'm counting down the hours until david comes home.
we found this really yummy breakfast place called eggingtons through yelp (have i mentioned how much i love yelp?) and have been twice now. the first time was pretty good, nothing to write home about, but our second trip was a real winner -- eggs florentine (like eggs benedict except with bacon and spinach and tomatoes!) and a warm gooey cinnamon roll smothered in cream cheese frosting (sunday is cheat day, okay??) i think we might even go back again next week...momma loves her some hollandaise sauce.
anyway, eggingtons is located in downtown casper and the streets there are kind of gravely and uneven and not the best for walking in six inch heels while holding an awfully heavy bag full of sofia the first dolls. the added rain/slippery terrain didn't help much either. remind me next week to wear proper footwear for off-roading like this.
this dress is a target find and although i can't find it online for the price i paid, it's available in stores for a whopping $9 and also comes in black. the shoes are another target clearance buy and i snagged them for (you guessed it!) $9 after i'd been wanting them since they came out (showing up full price on the website, fyi...struggles.) i have a hard time spending full price at target -- their items go on sale so fast! i found this necklace at walmart in a million different colors for $4 each and the website is showing it for $35 so take that with a grain of salt and go look at your good old local walmart. the shopping is limited here in casper, wyoming so we're getting creative and i'm into it. it's like a challenge! the hunt of finding attractive things to wear at walmart! if it's over $10, count me out, sister.
so just in case you weren't paying attention, the grand total of this outfit is $22. hollaaaa.
